Advanced Topics in Statistical Machine Learning*  COMP9418

In 2020 Term 3, it was taught by Gustavo, not a tutor anymore. Gustavo is such a nice and patient lecturer, that he is willing to go through some knowledge points in the consultation even that were included in the lectures before. However, sometimes I cannot understand Gustavo's accent, and I need to replay the recording multiple times. Generally speaking, he is a marvelous lecturer. As for the tutor, I went to Jeremy's offline tutorial. Honestly speaking, the offline tutorial is far better than the online one.  Jeremy was nice and responsible, and I love his way of teaching. In my offline tutorial, there were 6 people, and I know those people got really good total marks. I got 93, my project partner got 98, and my friend got 96.

20T3的9418是个好课，推荐上，课程主要内容是贝叶斯网络，马尔可夫链的learning， inference等内容，学完你会对概率论尤其是贝叶斯理论有深刻理解。老师很温柔，说话轻声细语，备课充分（相比于6714的Prof. wang来说简直一个天上一个地下），知识点的讲解很清晰，流畅，而且会课上手推公式，tutor是个local帅哥，很有活力，会在tutorial上面一道题一道题过，手撸代码。课程整体知识难度中等偏上，第二个assignment比较难，要求自己定义一个网络结构，这个作业15分我就拿了3分。。。 考试难度不大，考试里面的代码基本就是平时tutorial的代码，把每个tutuorial过一遍就可以得高分。而且每周tutorial都会有详细答案（再次点名6714，连example exam 都不给答案，完全没有feedback) 20T3得老师叫Gustavo Batista, tutor 是Jeremy Gillen.

有当时Assignment的答案吗

如果只看课的名字的确是不错，但是这他妈完全就是一个傻逼课程，老师就来了一节课，然后就消失了，怀疑被tutor绑架了。然后就全程tutor上课，重点是还是个咖喱味tutor，上课内容完全蜜汁口音，只有印度人才懂印度人，将近100个人的课，来的人数是个位数，什么原因，自己没点逼数吗。

ppt也满是错误，抄袭人家斯坦福的课件，分别是 cs188和cs228。内容还想自己发挥一下，结果自己发挥的地方全是错的，或者就是关键信息丢失，老老实实抄人家的ppt不行吗，没那个本事就别干这个了吧。

新南至今为止上过的，听过的，看到过的最特码垃圾的一门课！！！！老师不来上课，tutor来混一个学期，PPT都是错误，tutorial也都是错误！！！！不知道咋开的课
